I'll give him credit, he took being screwed over like the true professional he is. I think he would've been one HELL of a President when 9/11 came. We'd still be in the Stan, but I doubt he would've jumped into Iraq. If it was possible I wonder what secrets you'd find if we could do the Vulcan Mind Meld.

Perhaps a few that the left wouldn't want to hear. An experienced military leader, cabinet member and an insider led astray by a bunch of "draft dodgers". I'm not buying it, once the facts came out he ducked and ran for cover JMHO.

How are they "belittling" the country and the presidency? there is a strong case that they are belittling each other and and the process, with a little push from the Moderators from the various TV personalities, but the president is seldom mentioned. So, has Powell expressed his feelings on the Email exposure of over 2,000 classified documents on an unsecured personal server, how about the Benghazi fiasco, or other scandals by the Democrat operatives? He is the embarrassment to the Republican Party for their promoting him to high levels in the Party. As with possibly Trump, wolf (Dem) in sheep's (Repub) clothing?

MCPO Roger Collins - Master Chief; They are "belittling" America to those who don't know what the word means.

"Exposing the Republican party to ridicule" sounds more like what the Republican aspirants are doing.

Of course, if you think that "America = Republican Party" I suspect that you might confuse the two.

MCPO Roger Collins - Master Chief; I have this terribly unfortunate tendency to refuse to use a word that doesn't mean what the speaker wants it to mean when there is already a perfectly good English word that does.

Not a single one of the Republican aspirants is taking the position that America is anything other than the best of all possible countries. Admittedly Mr. Trump is taking the position that it isn't AS MUCH BETTER than every other country than it used to be.

If an aspirant says "America sucks." THEN they are "belittling" America. If an aspirant says "America could be better." they are NOT "belittling America".

Getting into confrontations over the size of an aspirant's "hands" is simply exposing the Republican party to ridicule.

Being a leader and being in the Republican Party, GEN Powell is fully qualified to assess and express his opinion.

A true Republican does not vote for a Liberal Democrat, unless there are other prevailing reasons. He voted for Obama twice, that tells me where his loyalties lie. I can say I am a bird, but unless I grow some wings or get on an airplane, not true.

General Powell abandoned the Republican Party 8 years ago. I don't really care what he has to say about it anymore.
