I would agree it seems hypocritical. More importantly, their thoughts have little to do with constitutional law.

I hate the double standard out there. Those who can afford armed security seem to be the loudest with gun control. Let's see how quiet they get when they don't have armed security. I am the security for my family.

There is a cult of social justice warriors that subscribe to the outrage of the month club. I'm sure you know a few. They hang around each other and look to celebrities to see what outrage is trending. Ask them what they are doing about whatever outrage they are bemoaning this month. Wearing a bracelet does damn little. Next month it will be a different bracelet or ribbon. Celebrities that wear bracelets, make political statements at non-political events, and donate money, that is chump change to them, are inconsequential.
While serving in Africa on embassy duty, I had little in common with the Peace Corps, I thought....., Then I got to know them. They were bleeding heart liberals almost to the last man, but I'll be damned if they didn't walk the walk. You have to admire that. I found that I liked them, even when I disagreed vehemently with them. When they crawled out of the bush, I was glad to give them a place to clean up, a home-cooked meal, a cold beer, and a soft bed. I'll look to people with that kind of commitment.
