I have heard through police channels, but can't verify, that she was also a Marine Vet. If true, this is a double punch to the gut of America. The Thin Blue Line is diminished by one, yet again...

It's always the hardest seeing a LEO have their end of watch in the line of duty. Can't imagine how hard it is to go down on your first day, that just grinds my gears. Domestic issues are the hardest to go into, high casualty rate their. Not sure if her department just sent her DT and fire arm qualification nor do I know the details of the case. I'm sure we could what if this one all day long. May the Lord have her in her kingdom. RIP officer.

I lost my side partner to a 30.06 during a domestic dispute. I lost a 2nd side partner in a pile of garbage while trying to serve a warrant. I lost a close friend and mentor to a con who had nickel bag of dope, had a gun, and didn't want to go back to prison. There is no way to describe the feeling of losing a partner or a battle buddy. I know she stood her Last Roll Call, standing tall, in front of St. Peter and entered and entered the Kingdom of Heaven and joined my brothers and sisters who proceeded her.
