I see no reason to dispute the claim. If true, accept the help (God knows many vets need the help) and have the good grace to simply say "Thank you". Those who ascribe nefarious motives are simply ideologues attempting to deflate anything good said about Trump. Ignore them. However, I wouldn't attempt to persuade anyone to vote for him based on this. Well, to put a fine point on it, I wouldn't attempt to persuade anyone to vote for any candidate on the basis of any one act, statement, or anything else. I just hope people will get out and vote. Our government needs to see that we are paying attention and are concerned enough to vote. At this point they have every reason to believe that they can do anything, even commit criminal acts, and still be elected and reelected with unceasing regularity.

I agree, Sir. In fact, that we're all actually TALKING about things, I think is a GOOD first step for change!

"The night benefited twenty-two different organizations, a number of which are Iowa based Veterans groups. Mr. Trump has been a major supporter of Veterans organizations throughout his life and has made strengthening our military, reforming the VA and taking care of our great Veterans cornerstones of his campaign"......Do what? Trump has been a major supporter of what? Can anyone answer these questions:
1. He's been in NY his whole life. When did he ever visit the local NG armory?
2. When was the last time he visited ANY NG Armory since 9/11?
3. When was the last time he went to a VA hospital and rendered assistance in time or money to a vet there?
4. When was the last time he visited Ft. Drum? I have more time there, and I've only seen pics of the place.
5. He JUST decided we are "worthy" of his attention now? How many NY vets got help from him before?
This is embarrassing coming from both Cruz and Trump. After 15 years of war, now you want to "donate" to vet orgs? If I had one, I'd take the money and either throw it back at him, give it to the homeless, or burn it. No vet is a prop. We gave into a system and we don't want a "handout" just to get a vote and be forgotten about. This is what angers me about politicians. Throw around some money and think no one has integrity and can see through your BS.
Kaeish vs. Saunders or O'Malley or Biden in 17! Anything less is uncivilized.

SGT Sean Wike - It's embarrassing. You finally get to the point where you can make a serious difference and money ruins all of it. They even had some AWESOME endorsers, and all that's left is Trace Adkins, and even the commercials he's in are a year old. At least IAVA hasn't forgotten what their mission is, and I hope they stay that way.

I saw a clip of last night where Trump was running through the major donors. He announced that he himself donated 1 million. He named a couple of other billionaire friends who donated a million. He brought one of them on stage. It was Phil Ruffin. I play a lot of poker, and had seen him on a high stakes poker show where rich businessmen play high stakes cash games with top pros. Ruffin owns some casinos in Vegas.

The pro made big bets on each street, and on the river went all in for $500k on a bluff. Ruffin had top pair with just a 3 kicker. There were straight and flush possibilities on the board. Ruffin called the $500k bet and won, which shocked the pros. They couldn't believe he would call so much with such a weak hand. At the break, the commentator asks Ruffin about the call. He shrugged his shoulders and said "I had a pair and it was just half a million, so I called". As Doyle Brunson said "never try and bluff a billionaire".

To those guys a million is like a ten dollars to us. So I don't doubt he raised $6 million. But it was probably from less than 20 of his friends.
