I want to see how this plays out. In B-more, it's already being looked at as if it's going to be a "formal" thing where the six cops get away with it. If a cop can kill wantonly and without justification, he/she is just as much the criminal as the person they shot. I'm so tired of the standard phrases of "I feared for my life" or "I assumed he had something". I know it's a quick decision on shoot/no shoot, and I went through FATS training years ago and in pre-deployment training on both of my 12 monthers, and it is quick. But at no point should there be a catch phrase you hear almost every time a cop shoots someone. If the cop did wrong, I hope he pays the same price a common "thug" would get.....reality is he/she won't.

I have a son-in-law who is African-American. I have friends who are brown and black. I am concerned for them and fear this injustice for them. I hope the truth comes out and justice is done.
