Bringing the Articles of the UCMJ up to date is good. Judge only trial downrange not good. Judge only sentencing, not good. I like some of the added articles. I hope the dense community speaks up.

Correct. My clients always demanded a trial (guilt AND sentencing) by members. The result was Justice -- acquittals (imagine that) and tailored sentences (not something off the judge's crib sheet). The Government, that is Staff Judge Advocates, hate trials with members because they muck up their score cards.

Only as to making EXPRESS the dozens of offenses hidden in the general language of Article 134. Clarity and precision are always good. "Grease on the skids" of MILITARY JUSTICEA is not.

The laws should be changed to reflect changes in technology or national values (whatever they are, I have yet to see them printed). What I would like to know is when the text of Article 125 para 'a' is going to change.

Art 125 is used when there's a snexual assault or rape. It's kind of a throw-away charge.

I. Thought art 125 was one that Obama wanted thrown out b’cause it was ‘supposedly nobody’s business but the ones involved”.. ..
That’s Obama is totally wrong, he knows noth’g about our morals. and is no longer in position to make those decisions.

Is it that most military members who are married end up divorced and there’s a saying that what happens on TDY stays on TDY? I’m not sure where your going with that statementSFC (Join to see)
