Say what you like but there is no denying the difference, he still rides with wounded Vets every year. Have to agree 100% with this article. The Thanks Giving story about how he got there is incredible as he told NO one other than wife and flight staff, he flew alone on that trip, into a war zone on a huge target to spend the day serving the troops a meal.

I agree. Bush actually cared about us veterans and I cant say Obama gives two hoots for us. I feel he has hurt veterans every chance he gets. I don't think he feels there is a need for us and would just as soon wish us away.

George W. Bush frequently (and with little fanfare) visited Walter Reed and Bethesda often to see wounded Soldiers and their families. The wars and their costs weighed on him, and many have shared stories of tears shed as he quietly and personally spoke to the men and women recovering from heinous injuries.
He continues to do so, too, and is active in Wounded Warrior organizations.

1SG (Join to see) Your use of Wounded Warrior might be construed as favoring a charity with extremely high overhead and executive salaries.

CSM Charles Hayden - Nope, not so much. The organizations I am aware of that former President Bush spends his time on are ones that promote active living after life-changing injuries. I don't really know if he supports the organization you are alluding to.
