Military Police Officer (MP)
504 MP Batt was at Ft Gordon Ga. Deployed next to France during the Pres Kennedy Berlin build up 1960. 504's job was to corridor open through
France should it become necessary escalate troops and equipment to Berlin. I was there for 1 year mostly in Paris, then the 504 returned to USA and stationed at Ft Lewis WA. I was discharged from there just as we got involved in the Cuban Misslile Crisis . 504 was deployed to Homestead Fl for a few weeks until things cooled down. Some of my Buddies wanted to visit me as I was home by then but they couldn't get passes and returned to Ft Lewis WA.
