Bio

I was a rejecte in the draft signed up Airborne Infantry became 1-A over night. I was an apprentice plumber at the time like it wanted to do something different in the service. No regrets

Military Experiences

Jul 1966 - Jun 1969
Old Mans driver/Radio operator
We where one Company strong. Along with the Infantry training we did Mt.Training. I would be a radio operator for some of Company training. Our biggest training time was January. We had Canada Paratroopers at mess with us (Officers only) before the games started. When we jumped in the games started. We had sleds with our ten man tent, stove, fuel, rads, ammo, 4 guys up front pulling one in the rear steering all with snow shoes strap on our Mickey Mouse boots. We jumped in with our snow shoes strap on our left side with our M-14 tide onto the shoes. This was great duty for a 20 year old kid I did like it.AATW!
