Grew up in Wisconsin, enlisted in the Air Force December 1973, went active May 9, 1974. I have, at that time, been around aircraft since I was about 9 when both my parents began taking flying lessons. I myself soloed when I was 16. I've always wanted to work on aircraft so when I enlisted I chose airframe repair. I'm glad I did that because I was able to work the whole aircraft. My plane? RF-4C
