Served in Vietnam 1968. Command of scout vehicle for 25th ID resupply convoy for the first half of my tour then team leader recon and ambush. Call sign on convoy was "Mississippi 31" then on recon "Team 75 actual".
Joined the Michigan National Guard and became crew chief on UH-1H Huey helicopters.

Security at Nike Hercules Missile site when I got my orders for Vietnam. Got on the plane in Fairbanks and it was 45 below 0 degrees. Got off in Bien Hoa at 106 degrees and humidity about 90 %.
Activated in 1995 to fly support for the U.S. Army Special Forces.
