My question is in regards to PCSing while having an open application for Army Green to Gold Active Duty Option. I was wondering if it is possible to PCS while in the middle of the application? I know I have to get endorced by my Battalion and Brigade Commanders and was wondering if it would still be valid if I arrived at a new duty station? Also, I was wondering if there are certain requirements for me to be at my new duty station for a set amount of time like it is for an OCS application? I believe the requirements for that is 12 months at duty station for CONUS and 2/3 time complete at duty station for OCONUS. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Unles things have changed there is no need to sweat! One of my soldiers applied and was accepted, branch PCSd him to another duty station and 4 months later PCSd again IOT go to school. Branch was informed of his G2G status and played dumb.

That is great news. Thanks so much sir! I'll continue to push forward with the application and inform HRC.

SGT (Join to see) - I am considering doing this same thing. However, I will have already PCS,d for about a year before I submit my packet! How is everything looking with your process if you don't mind me asking?

I received letter of recommendation from a BN and CO Commanders from one post and a letter from a Brigade Commander from another post. Do you have to go to a local board for green to gold?

Negative sir, the only required test is the APFT. Everything else is paperwork. It stated with an application to my school and the Master's program. After I received acceptance, I approached the ROTC point of contact at my school. Paperwork is now being done there and all that will be left is to submit the entire packet to HRC once the ROTC paperwork is complete. Of course along with all of the required medical tests, etc. for the Green to Gold Active Duty Option itself.

In the interviews speak with confidence and conviction. Nobody wants to recommend a slug.

You may have this already but here is the G2G ADO booklet. I do not see anything in there about PCS and the impact on an application. Campbell University is the counterpart ROTC program for you and they should be able to answer that question.

Thank you for the information COL Thompson... I too have read the application booklet and couldn't find anything about a PCS impacting the application one way or another. I also called Campbell University and they pretty much said the same thing. I also know, however, that there is probably something, somewhere in writing that outlines every detail. Thank you for taking the time to research the topic for me.
