How long does it takes the Guard to produce a NGB22 and FEDREC upon leaving the guard for the reserve?

Sir, thank you for your service. As to how long it takes, kind of depends on how good the J1 section dealing with retirement is. So I cannot answer with a definitive answer. Y only advice is that patience will be needed. That way you are neither disappointed nor angered. But keep on them to keep up with what has happened and what still needs to be done. Hope your transition is short sweet and mistake free.

Once the discharge order is complete, the unit should have your NGB 22 complete within 30 days. The RNCO should be able to complete the form, if not, the BN S1 can do it.

Be patient and persistent. Ultimately your retirement comes thru the Federal reserve side of the house so getting the paperwork straight now is well worth any perceived hassle you may undergo!

MAJ Phil Centenio one day into the future hopefully you’ll get to retirement. Always need to look 3-5-10 years down the road
