I will be attending WOAC next year and it will be TDY enroute to my next duty station. The school is 4 months long. It will be my wife, small dog and myself.

Will I receive BAH for the 4 month school or per diem for each day and for a hotel?

Will my wife be authorized to accompany me?

She is working on her doctorate so we are trying to plan in advance and have an idea of how it will play out, as well as stay together.

Thanks!

You can elect to move your dependents to your next duty station. You'll sign in there and go on to your TDY school. All the TDY enroute options are laid out in AR 600-8-11. When you receive your levy brief you'll be required to pick one.

CW2 (Join to see) Your wife will not be authorized to accompany you to the WOAC, as it is only four months (16-18 weeks). If your wife is in base housing, you will still receive BAH; however, you'd be eligible for reimbursement of certain expenses incurred. If you decide to bring your wife, it will be at your expense, including finding the apartment, as she won't be authorized to stay on base. You can, however, inquire about moving her directly to your next unit, so the Army pays for it.

SFC Boom Chick as long as the whole thing is less than a year, you should be eligible. I believe one of the stipulations was that your spouse has to be employed. I don't remember exactly and the message is on my work computer

SFC Boom Chick send me a PM next week and I'll email this document to you. I'm on leave till then. I don't remember if it was a MILPER or something else, just that on my desktop it's named BAH Waiver

SFC Boom Chick - OHA is the BHA equivalent, just name differently.

SFC Boom Chick I don't think so. The guy who did it while I was there had his wife stay on Oki while he went to school. I don't know if they were on post or off.
