U.S. weighs troop deployment near Ukraine, orders embassy families out

And announces that the 40,000 Americans in Ukraine cannot be evacuated...see where this is going?

The State Department advisory for all American citizens to leave the Ukraine has already been issued. There have also been months of warnings and guidance. The Ukraine has had a "Do not Travel" status for just as long.
If there are still any Americans left in the Ukraine and Russia invades (there are), that was a stupid decision that they made.
We can't keep blaming the government for the stupid decisions of individuals.

As for our citizens, they have cars, the trip to safety is easy to the west. From there it is planes or trains. Understanding it would take money, life and safety first.

As for our involvement with troops, that puts us in a policing role with arguably the 3d strongest military on earth defending a sovereign country. Where does that put us, where should that put us. If we go it should be all in, if don’t our add should be amped up, advisers in the ground and ammo flowing.

If deployed Our Troops must be confident that here is a task and purpose, as well as the resolve to let them fight to win.
