Morning,

I did an interview this morning for a position and was asked about the acronym "L2". I did not know the answer to this but I am trying to find it so that I can learn from this. However, I can't find anything clear cut into what L2 would mean in the Army world. Any insight would be helpful.

SSG Slover,

MSG Huffman is correct. L2 is a Lunch and Learn series.

I would have guess "Lessons Learned" but since you say its a new acronym, then I am clueless.
Do you remember verbatim how the question was worded and in what context?

Basically, he just asked "Can you tell me what the acronym L2 means?" Lessons learned may be correct as it would make a lot of sense in a TRADOC environment. I could be mistaken about the "new" part.

This is crazy. This literally just popped up in my inbox. I cut and pasted it for you.

Mark your calendar! The ACT L2 series is back! Your Installation is invited to participate in the ACT (L2) series, which will highlight the improved functionalities of the Army Career Tracker. Each week new installations will be invited to join in the L2 sessions.

The first series is: ACT Overview. The ACT Team will review all of the key areas within ACT and introduce you to some of the new features.

Format of the L2 Series:

Using the “Brown Bag Lunch” concept, the L2 series was developed to deliver easily accessible on-line training to the workforce to familiarize Army personnel on the use of ACT. Each week, on Thursday at 1200 Eastern for just 30 minutes, the ACT team will host virtual training via Defense Connect Online (DCO).

How to participate in the L2 Series:

Before your scheduled session, if you have not logged into ACT, go to https://actnow.army.mil, to familiarize yourself with the system. Then, register on Defense Connect Online (DCO) at: https://connectcol.dco.dod.mil. Once you are registered, log into DCO on the day of the training at https://connectcol.dco.dod.mil/r94339357/, and call into the conference line at [login to see] , Pass Code: 28194462.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the ACT Team at [login to see] .mil.

Wondering since it mentions 'brown bag lunch", maybe the L2 is Lunch and Learn? I've seen that in the civilian sector before, but not while I was active duty.

Well I don't feel so bad for not knowing the answer since it seems to be a newer program. Thanks for the answers!
