I was a young Soldier with only a few years of service and had never gone to a location where everything wasn't already set up an there for us, so a big learning curve for my job and real world problems and pain.Response by SFC James Baber made Mar 13 at 2014 6:00 PM2014-03-13T18:00:09-04:002014-03-13T18:00:09-04:00Lt Col Private RallyPoint Member248316

The only deployment I had that was not in the AFCENT/CENTCOM AOR was 1 month in Guam. For obvious reasons this deployment was my favorite because of the following:

1. Stayed in a Outrigor Resort on Tumon Beach versus a trailer in a coalition compound, it could have been a motel 6 and still been better then coalition housing.

2. Wore normal clothes during off time.

3. Walked around at night in DT Tumon, sans reflective belts.

4. Being able to use the bathroom without leaving my room in the middle of the night was awesome.

5. The complementary breakfast was also nice every morning.

6. It was not the Deid.

That about sums it up.Response by Lt Col Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 20 at 2014 2:31 AM2014-09-20T02:31:02-04:002014-09-20T02:31:02-04:002014-03-13T16:34:46-04:00
