Hmmm...lemme think...howsabout getting rd of every cell phone and computer from every kid in the US before high school, so the actually learn to study the right way? Personally, I think that'd he a really good numerous uno...also, shutting off the boob tube at night, and enforcing at least 6-8 hours of study, o force kids to learn to drill properly, in order to develop their lon term memories properly, as well as to teach them to reason...I've said many times, kids below a certain age should have zero access to computers, and cell phones, and absolutely zero exposure to video games...I kmow I'm likely gonna be disagreed with, however, that is, candidly, my view...such hardware is both an impediment to education, as well as a distraction from it, as the pediatric MIMD is inadequately marines to know how to use such tools properly...computers are most definitely not, in my view, the universal balm to problems in education, they're actally the source of the problem, to my way of thinking....

And esp all that social media garbage kids become addicted to, as well...I realize RallyPoint is that type of !medium, I get that, however, kids should not be allowed to use such software, of clearly leads to way too many problems societally, as I reflect on the matter...kids to need to read books, not computer screens, and not waste time on time wasting drivel of that sort...that is my honest few, such as it is, however Draconian it might sound....

First thing I'd do is mandate that school board elections must take place during normal election cycles. Often school boards will have their elections scheduled a few months after a broader election. They figure that people will not come out to vote in February for a school board election. This helps keep them from being ousted by the general public as only people associated within the education system will even be aware of the election. Next is to make it illegal for public sector unions to contribute to the campaigns of anyone associated with their negotiations. If a school board member receives a sizable campaign contribution from a teacher's union, it's reasonable to assume that they won't be able to negotiate the best deal for the public, if that conflicts with the union's best interest. At best, there's a perception of impropriety, at worst it could be a kickback. These unions can and should endorse or even campaign for whomever, but direct campaign contributions from public sector unions shouldn't be allowed. After that, I suggest teacher competency testing. If a teacher doesn't grasp the material they're teaching, they have no business trying to teach it to students. Lastly, if a school is coming up with amazing outcomes, the techniques being used should at the very least be studied by other schools in the district.

Reduce the Liberal feel good crap, reinstitute Civics, Government, and American/World History. Teach responsibility over rights, manners over confrontation, citizenship/patriotism over me 1st/I want. More science and technical skills and self care (checkbook, car maintenance, cooking, etc.)

30% Budget Reduction across the board for K-12, minimum to bring costs more inline with other countries. Prohibit Federal Student Loans unless the Student is able to complete a business plan demonstrating how they will repay the loan given their current debt loads and projected income. Increase scholarships for disadvantaged youths for low B and C average GPA's. Increase vocational training. Work with employers to greatly expand the number of white collar jobs open to High School graduates that are also eligible for tuition reimbursement.

1) Every high school student will "major" in a technical field (take 4 courses in business, technology, or agriculture etc)
2) Mandate all students to take a minimum of 3 CLEP exams in their related coursework so that they matriculate with some college credit
3) No more "political correctness" or pushing of political agendas from pre K through post-doctorate education
Bonus round:
1) The military training and service of enlisted personal will be translated as an associates degree in the civilian equivalent of their military occupation (or as an AS in Military Science if no equivalent exists)
2) All military personnel will separate from service with all necessary certifications to be employed and excel in a civilian occupation that most closely relates to their military experience
