Wounded Warrior Project: $70M to be invested in veterans' mental health. Is this even close to being enough?2015-06-18T09:31:34-04:002015-06-18T09:31:34-04:00LTC Stephen F.755184<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It is a good start if it is legitimate. Funding for an issue as serious as mental health is probably an unlimited requirement. I am assuming this funding is going to private or public hospital and similar facilities. Hopefully those programs are managed and run well from a medical standpoint. That needs to be one of ten criteria for funding.Response by LTC Stephen F. made Jun 18 at 2015 9:34 AM2015-06-18T09:34:51-04:002015-06-18T09:34:51-04:00PO1 John Miller755291<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It's a start.Response by PO1 John Miller made Jun 18 at 2015 10:13 AM2015-06-18T10:13:12-04:002015-06-18T10:13:12-04:00CPT Bruce Rodgers755618<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Its probably just a drop in the bucket, but I would not give a dime to WWP since they do not help veterans prior to 9/11/2001, Here we go again making our Vietnam Era veterans less than. I feel that Mental Health for veterans needs to be a lot better than it is. Although 70 million is a lot of money I do not think that it will be enough to get us where we need to be, but I am hopeful that one day we will get there and give the veterans what they deserve and earned!Response by SrA Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 18 at 2015 9:32 PM2015-06-18T21:32:39-04:002015-06-18T21:32:39-04:00Capt Richard Knapp2109041<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I agree it is a good start but it would also depend on how the funds were utilized. Maybe some could help find more effective means of helping veterans and some could be used as seed money to help organizations using those methods get going.Response by Capt Richard Knapp made Nov 26 at 2016 11:03 AM2016-11-26T11:03:25-05:002016-11-26T11:03:25-05:002015-06-18T09:31:34-04:00
