This veteran immersion program uses an unconventional rehabilitation technique to help wounded troops feel less like fish out of water.
Rally Point members, I came across this wonderful rehabilitation exercise for wounded vets and all vets. If more facilities would think outside the box, there are many ways for disabled veteran's rehab that would make it fun and healing for these wounded warriors.
And now for the rest of the story:

That is a beautiful program SGT (Join to see) !! I have visited the Georgia Aquarium, and as a certified diver, I have often considered the possibility of being able to do exactly something like this. My disabilities have kept me from diving for many years, but I would be very interested in a program like this one...... Thank you for sharing this !!

PVT Robert Gresham, Thank you. This program sounds like it's right up your alley. I hope you can get involved. That would be just awesome.

Nothing I love better. Give me my Mask, My Diving Boots and a full bottle of MSG (Just in Case) I am a Happy Camper. Nothing I love better than Free Diving and checking out the Critters. Been with Moral Eel, Sting Rays, Sea Turtles, Sharks, Spotted Eels, Barracuda (Don't wear anything shiny).

The only thing shiny on me would be my shiny hiney, getting away from those sharks.

Most of them are fish eaters and while not Particularly Bright they know I don't look that much like a fish. The Most Dangerous to most people is the Bull Shark and that bad old boy can live in Brackish and Fresh Water, Actually the Females go into Brackish and Fresh Water to have their Young. I used to call my Son the Dogfish Killer cause he was great at catching them (When you catch them Inland we call them Dogfish). My only good rule of thumb, If I see Seals. I'm not getting in the Water, Great Whites Eat Seals and we Look Like Anorexic Seals.

The only time I got any scars from my Underwater Adventures was after I retired. Off Gulf Shores Alabama with my kids and my cousins kids. I swam through a school of Jellyfish and came out with the Coolest looking Tiger Stripes all over my body. That is why the MSG. Scrubbed down with MSG and was back in the water in no time.
