CPT Jack Durish 5265745 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>This is one of those wonderful thought questions that may be creeping into the realm of possibility (as told in this video). I&#39;m not going to waste time repeating the incident (the very real incident) that suggests how this may be possible. The video provides that more than adequately. I will simply encourage you to watch it, and watch it to the end inasmuch as it provides meat for another discussion. Would you surrender your life so that others might live? Yes, all of us who have served have gone in harms way to defend our families, our homes, and our communities. But, would you forfeit your life knowing that the mission for which you volunteer is a absolute death sentence without any hope of survival? The dichotomy of these two questions is perplexing, isn&#39;t it? Do you want to live forever and would you willingly surrender that life for the good of the many? If you want to live forever, I suggest you watch the movie &quot;Death Takes a Holiday&quot; (if you can find a copy) and consider the consequences of any portion of the world population do this.<br /><br /><a target="_blank" href="https://youtu.be/ILnP1-tmnjw">https://youtu.be/ILnP1-tmnjw</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-youtube"> <div class="pta-link-card-video"> <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ILnP1-tmnjw?wmode=transparent" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://youtu.be/ILnP1-tmnjw">Back from the Dead: Will This Medical Breakthrough Allow Deep Space Travel?</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description">Visit The Patriot Post: America&#39;s News Digest: http://bit.ly/32WB3Lk ------ Samuel Tisherman at the University of Maryland School of Medicine brings a man ba...</p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Would you want to live forever? 2019-11-22T22:03:20-05:00 CPT Jack Durish 5265745 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>This is one of those wonderful thought questions that may be creeping into the realm of possibility (as told in this video). Having your life extended indefinitely here on earth is another entirely. We would have to upend all the societies here on earth to make that work and I am not sure how well that would go. Forever is a little unfathomable. However, not through cryo. The age of slowing down the aging process followed by eventually arresting it or even turning it back is fast approaching. So is gene therapies and more. Add to the side of this our pioneering urges and I believe that we will finally get off this rock and begin the diaspora of humans throughout space.<br /><br />I have a lot more thoughts on this but for now this will suffice.
