I would not vote for or against an individual solely on the basis of their Veteran or non-veteran status. I could never vote for John Kerry-Heinz and almost always disagreed with John Murtha's political positions.

Depends on their platform. Being a vet is not an automatic pass. There are more than a few that post here, that would make me vote for anybody that ran against them.
However Col. Flemming you would get my vote....well unless you went full retard on the bid for office.

TBH, I feel that only Veterans should be eligible for office. In my darker moments, I think none but vets should vote. Voting is the exercise of power, political will, force. The ultimate autority a human can exert in America. The autority should be balanced with responsibility. What higher responsibility is there than laying your life on the line as a Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine?

Any day, twice on Sunday. Unless they were connected/privileged ticket-punchers, or shake n bake Senators. I would have voted for James Webb in 2016, based on his combat leadership alone , and vast experience in Govt. They almost laughed him off the stage in first debate, because of HRC - the anointed one.

Of course I would vote for a veteran,but he or she would have to be of the same mindset as I am. Since Obama and now Biden Have botched every thing that they touch I will not vote for a liberal democrat and doubt that I will ever again. I used to be a Kennedy democrat but somewhere along the way both partys changed. There is nothing in the liberal woke democratic party for me.

I would chose a qualified Veteran over most other candidates but I would exclude "Flag Officers" because they have to be political animals to get that star(s).

I would vote for a veteran in a heartbeat if I felt the veteran was fully qualified for the position and I liked what he/she was proposing.

yes i would VOTE a(n) VETERAN into Congress, whether local, state, national if he/she can have the backing of the people that is in that district/area and that the impending person/people can do their/his/her job with the proper resources and help needed. and that person or people must be physically fit enough to do the job allotted to them .. however, if the person/people is partially handicapped and can still do the job ,,, yes sir ,, yes mam endorse them/him/her and let us get this country back to the way it is supposed to be .. it is right but it is tight .. hooah/woops there it is and it is a wrap

not only would i vote for them but i say it should be a requirement for public office. how can you act for the people if you have never risked anything or been exposed to the militry and how it works.
