Would you like to see more Civilian Jobs and Job Related information posted on RallyPoint?

There is a Civilian Employment section on this site, which is good, but we should also be able to post career opportunities for our fellow Veterans. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></FONT></P>

I believe we should be able to provide and help each other with jobs and job related information without limitations. Yes please. I retired Oct 2013 and am still in the "transition" process. Don't laugh, but I decided to retire in Orlando, FL. This has got to be the worst place in the world to find a decent paying job. I am finally being considered for a government position (as of today). If I were a civilian employer seeking candidates, I would definitely hire a vet first.

Transitioning to Civilian Employment is difficult for many Veterans, no matter the location. However, there are many things one can do to improve your chances of being hired. The first is to ensure your Resume is Targeted to the Job you are applying for. Then ensure you are using Civilian Language. I would also suggest that you reach out to your local CareerSource and set an appointment for someone to help ensure you are on the right track and to provide additional pointers to assist you in your job search endeavors.
