We should look towards the Vets first for Civilian positions. It's a disgrace to hire a recent grad over a vet just because they found him/her to rigid.

We all must remember that the military trains us to be respectful and some hiring execs would rather overlook that for a more layed back individual. I know, I've seen it.

I would love to see postings for jobs. A lot of the jobs that I have seen on RP are not what I am looking for once I retire.

SSgt G,

I appreciate your response and your desire for something more that what is currently offered. However, RP limits what I can post. So I recommend that you seek out LinkedIn as option. Also I recommend that you seek out my other post, as many of those provide resources that you might find useful in your job search.

Thanks, Clarence

Does anyone know RallyPoint's rules regarding recruitment, job postings, and/or fees?

MAJ Weiss,

I checked out your link and it seems to be a "format driven process" for employers, which I am sure works great for them.  I am not an employer.  I am interested in providing a free service on behalf of Veteran Friendly Employers seeking Veterans to fill their ranks.

Based on time constraints, I am not interested in having to complete a format drive or request process each time I have a unique opportunity to post.  I would like the ability to post jobs as simple as I do questions.  If that is not possible with RP then I will accept that and stand down.  If that is the case, then I will search out other ways to support our Veterans and Veteran Supporting Employers in other ways.

Thanks, Clarence

I agree. How can we do this in a open forum that does not cost us to do so is my question? For instance, I am a recruiter for GM Vehicle Engineering Center and I would love to get the word out to those who would consider GM as an employer of choice.

I think posting of available jobs is great. I also think a perspective employer should view this site as a excellent resource for available talent.

I would like to post a job for my company on Rally Point. We are looking for veterans to be leaders in a growing company run by veterans.

Yes! Especially jobs overseas! I live in Germany and from what I hear it is VERY difficult for veterans to find jobs here. I have a higher chance of getting a job since I have spouse preference (husband is AD Army).

MSG B,
I recommend that you seek out your local American Job Center for assistance. Here is a link locate your closest center: http://jobcenter.usa.gov/ Then find the locator in the lower right corner of the screen.
Thanks, Clarence
