Would you illegally enter North Korea?

A student snuck into North Korea from China expecting to be arrested. I want to know exactly what made hime think that this was a good idea. Would you do it?

I doubt it. That would be incredibly risky. If I had family there I suppose it might be worth the effort.

I would not even sneak into South Korea so why would I sneak into North. There is nothing there for me so no I would not.

CPT Private RallyPoint Member, Won-moon Joo (sounds like a '90s movie) pulled the least understandable stunt thus far in 2015. I'm afraid his altruistic motives may not be reciprocated by the DPRK, and so I hope he's truly "willing to accept any punishment" as he so stated.

I heard rumors that SF guys would sneak over the DMZ. There was also a bet for someone to steal the giant North Korean flag! Wonder if these are true.

Heck no! Only reason I could think is...stupidity. I mean, if you wanted 3 hots and a cot I guess you could get arrested in a different country but I couldn't imagine the North Koreans would have a better prison system than china.

Sounds like a typical student - a boat load of altruism and NO common sense. Someone hooked this poor kid on the idea that "one person can make a difference" and sent him into the most dangerous country in Asia.
