In a heartbeat.

Laws are supposed to be to protect people. If the law is running counter to that, it has no use.

That said, I will do everything in my power to avoid harming another. There is no point in "transferring" the harm from my loved one, to someone else's.

"Save" and "break a law" are too ambiguous.

Would I do 100mph on the highway to make sure someone didn't die? Absolutely.

Would I kill someone to keep them from slandering a loved one, thus "saving" then embarrassment? Absolutely not.

More parameters are needed.
