After the birth of our youngest son I had a vasectomy and won't need to worry about biologically fathering another child. Even if male birth control drugs were available way back I am not sure I would have gone that route. Mainly due to possible immediate and residual side effects. I am one, and always have been a proponent of safe sex. That means slow down and make sure you girls is protected from impregnation or wear your own male protection. I feel a wild tangent coming on......I am so VERY VERY bugged by couples that engage in unprotected sexual practices then wonder how they got pregnant......go figure. There are women within our population that must dumber than a rock. On welfare, seven small children, seven different fathers and on welfare and food stamps. Those women are too stupid to have children. No hate mail, please.Response by PVT Mark Brown made Nov 2 at 2016 8:37 PM2016-11-02T20:37:20-04:002016-11-02T20:37:20-04:00Capt Tom Brown2035586<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Wondering how many honest answers you will receive to this question.Response by Capt Tom Brown made Nov 2 at 2016 9:13 PM2016-11-02T21:13:40-04:002016-11-02T21:13:40-04:00SSG G Smith2035699<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I as many others took the ultimate BC pill. You have to look at the biological benefits to either party on taking on the role of birth control. You can dive into the equality issue all you want and if you and your partner really do not want kids two forms won't hurt. That being said females tend to benefit more from the birth control.<br /><br />Many women take birth control not only for the obvious effect, but for the effect of regulating or reducing menses pain and symptoms. My wife is an example of this ( she uses Mirena IUD which has been a godsend ) and it is a very common practice. Still, there are always risks with any drug which don't go away if it is a male or female taking the drug. <br /><br />No one solution is best, but as it currently stands, females benefit more from it. That shouldn't persuade men not to take measures, however.Response by PO3 Derek "Doc Potter" Wilson made Nov 29 at 2016 5:50 PM2016-11-29T17:50:51-05:002016-11-29T17:50:51-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member2122203<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Nah, we are both in our 50's now... we should be good to go.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 30 at 2016 6:01 PM2016-11-30T18:01:25-05:002016-11-30T18:01:25-05:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member2124274<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not a problem here.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 1 at 2016 1:34 PM2016-12-01T13:34:36-05:002016-12-01T13:34:36-05:00PV2 Private RallyPoint Member7197185<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Interesting question and no less interesting discussion in the comments! :))Response by PV2 Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 19 at 2021 9:11 AM2021-08-19T09:11:11-04:002021-08-19T09:11:11-04:002016-11-02T17:47:16-04:00
