Would you be willing to share your most recent experience with kindness--either as a giver or receiver?2015-09-25T00:37:25-04:002015-09-25T00:37:25-04:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member992276<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Kindness is a wonderful concept, but I think I can relate to it a little better when I call it "selfless service". I think being in the medical field raises the expectations of what we do for others by "just doing our jobs." Giving a patient a pair of your own socks, calming the 1SG with the injured troop down, and being the last to eat only meet our expectations...not exceeds it.<br /><br />I think kindness for us means, telling the truth when even others don't want to hear it for their own benefit, giving more than expected even when our "emotional tank" is low, and changing roles periodically to increase our resiliency.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 25 at 2015 12:58 AM2015-09-25T00:58:44-04:002015-09-25T00:58:44-04:00PO1 John Miller992385<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><br />I attempted to give CPR last week to an elderly veteran at the VA hospital in Tucson. A young couple came in and were seated in the booth next to us. The young man was in his Marine dress uniform and the young lady with him was dressed very nice also. You could tell it was a very important dinner for them. While paying for our dinner, I asked for their bill and paid it to. When my wife asked what I was doing, I told her and she just gave me a kiss and didn't say another word about it.Response by SGT Patrick Reno made Sep 25 at 2015 10:08 AM2015-09-25T10:08:48-04:002015-09-25T10:08:48-04:00Capt Seid Waddell993033<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a target="_blank" href="http://on.aol.com/video/this-homemade-dog-train-takes-rescued-puppies-on-outdoor-adventures-519105712">http://on.aol.com/video/this-homemade-dog-train-takes-rescued-puppies-on-outdoor-adventures-519105712</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default">
