If it were an all out civil war then yes. But the reason would be that I am protecting my family and my country from an enemy as sworn to in the oath. I will defend my country from all enemies both foreign and domestic. If that means I have to fire upon my own countrymen then so be it. Now if the situation was more like Germany back in the 1940's......not so much. It would have to fall under the part where I swore to "Support and Defend the Constitution". But we all know how subjective that can be. Great question and one to really think about. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it never happens. I suppose if it was over a divisive issue like slave expansion, I would fight on the side of good.  I don't like the thought of another American Civil War.  I think we are pretty much done with that now.<br> Response by CW2 Jonathan Kantor made Apr 17 at 2014 12:29 PM 2014-04-17T12:29:59-04:00 2014-04-17T12:29:59-04:00 2014-03-27T20:27:29-04:00
