I would love to get a variety of supressors, but with the restrictions of transporting across state lines, keeping the paperwork on me at all times when out in public, not able to leave with family members when I deploy, the 3-12 month wait for the BATFE to approve or deny, PLUS the $200 tax stamp PER ITEM is excessively ridiculous. I think the removal from the NFA list would be a wonderful thing.

http://americansuppressorassociation.com/asa-announces-hearing-protection-act-a-bill-to-remove-suppressors-from-the-nfa/

ASA ANNOUNCES HEARING PROTECTION ACT: A BILL TO REMOVE SUPPRESSORS FROM THE NFA

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Suppressor Association (ASA) is pleased to announce the introduction of the Hearing Protection Act (HPA) by Rep. The people committing crimes with guns aren't buying them retail anyway, and adding 7" to the end of a gun actually makes it LESS concealable. No, it would simply make it cheaper. The law only hinders law abiding citizens form having suppressors. Bad guys who want them, have them. The suppression of loud sounds and reducing sound pollution only makes good sense. The Europeans use suppressors commonly, with the common sense idea that reducing loud sounds makes sense -- what a novel idea. A few misconceptions with your statement though. You only have to have the paperwork with you if you have the suppressor with you. You can get a firearms trust where you can have multiple people as beneficiaries on your trust and that way you can leave them with it. Right now wait times are around 3-5 months. As for removing them...PLEASE DO!! I hate all the stupid taxes and hoops but I'm just glad that we still can at least own them!
