I have had some experience dealing with IT functions while in. Studying for my Security + currently and am looking at the Idea of a 70D Commission. I've seen some mixed responses and wanted some clarifications on being able to do this Active Duty? If I were to go as is and get my conditional release, could I qualify for a commission in this field?

Thank you.Would I be eligible for 70D Active?2021-01-13T00:12:47-05:002LT Private RallyPoint Member6656177

Hello,

I am a Medical Laboratory Technician of 10 years Active Duty Air Force, Will have my degree in a couple of months in IT Operations Management. You start at 70B and as you promote become eligible to hold the designator for 70D when your unit sends you to training for it . I am also trying to do the same and this is what an AMEDD recruiter advised me of back in MayResponse by 2d Lt Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 13 at 2021 1:30 AM2021-01-13T01:30:34-05:002021-01-13T01:30:34-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member6656375

You can direct commission as a 70D if you have a master's in IT. This is the same for TPU Compo 2/3. This process changed in the last 2 years and Army Recruiting command owns it.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 15 at 2021 10:41 PM2021-09-15T22:41:40-04:002021-09-15T22:41:40-04:002021-01-13T00:12:47-05:00
