Now it shows Preparation for Decision and projected to be done now late march to late April. The VFW is doing my claim. Has any one had this happen to them? <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes, if you can&#39;t get it on your own, you need to seek the assistance of a VSO (Veterans Service Officer) at a state level Veterans Administration, or a local service organization VFW, Legion, DAV etc... As they all have them.

After around a year, I called my Senator, and it was amazing - He (personally) called the VA, and the next week my decision was &quot;rendered&quot;.<br />They are there for our help! - PS, I use the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

If the rating specialist doesn&#39;t have everything it&#39;ll be returned to a claims specialist to gather the information needed for a decision. This is common with VA claims. People sometimes try to rushing things through or, some people are just finicky wanting no stone left unturned. <br />This is someone who works for the VA and, speaking in generic and simple terms. I can&#39;t get into much detail nor, am allowed to look at any unassigned claim for benefits.
