Would anyone be interested in helping create a New Army Study Guide?

The old "ArmyStudyGuide.com" is out of date and the Army is taking a new approach on boards focusing primarily on situational questions. This makes studying quite difficult. After studying my brains out for the last month, I decided that I would like to help other soldiers study by coming up with situational questions from updated Army regulations as well as an all around resource for Army board preparation. Is this allowed?

The scenario based questions are in an effort to get away from the Soldier that can read and remember the Army study guide. It is not possible to think of every possible scenario that someone could ask. The current Army study guide is far from useless as it has a lot of good references in it. Sure some of them are outdated and could stand to be updated.

Armystudyguide.com was a cancer and I'm glad that it's almost defunct.

We spent ten years memorizing select board questions because most boards would use armystudyguide.com. This resulted in NCOs who couldn't interpret regulations but could quote verbatim the definition of the .38 revolver.

I had a SFC in Iraq sit on the board for a Soldier I sponsored, and tell the Soldier he was wrong for citing two levels of maintenance as being field and sustainment; because there were four (unit, DS, GS, Depot). This was in 2010.

Armystudyguide.com made us dumb. Actually studying the doctrine separates the NCO from the private: Understanding and interpreting doctrine at the tactical level so we can achieve the commander's intent.

But to think about any standards which would change on a regular basis as soldiers do, we are living in a world where generation X, baby boomers and milineals dwell together. The baby boomer standards served us well even the new generation was easily adaptable to them, but now you have to think about what the future holds and the different scenarios that play out in upcoming yrs for the next couple generations
