The Ukraine police and military started to use live rounds and had a sniper gunning down civilians, which, in return started to chuck molotov cocktails, rocks, and whatever else. The Soviet Union have threatened a military intervention and pretty much an over taking of power. Things have calmed down a bit, but the threat's still up in the air. President Obama has stated that a military intervention by Russia would strain the relationship between our two countries because of our ties with the Ukraine.
