With the global political, economic, and social situations we find ourselves in, what do you foresee occuring in the next 10-15 years?

Just a year ago you could hear whispers in some circles of impending civil war. Today, it would seem that not only the country, but the entire world has begun to spiral into insanity. Do you believe that there is a path to bring the U.S. out of this put of self destruction or perhaps should we begin to prepare ourselves for the worst case scenario?

I take solace in the fact that if you read much history you'll see that there hasn't really been a time that was "the good 'ol days". Each generation seems to think the world is at its tipping point. Wars, famines, natural disasters, etc. These things have been present in every era of mankind. So while it's easy to say "this time is the worst" I think that when we do we're no different from every other generation. With that said though, and to answer the actual question, barring any unforeseen things like a nuclear war or a super volcano eruption, I don't think life will be much different in 10-15 years.
