I'm a medic and we are a large population so some of us bled over to other MOS's within our CMF. But 99% of us all went to the AIT of our specific MOS.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 10 at 2015 6:37 AM2015-04-10T06:37:29-04:002015-04-10T06:37:29-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member583758<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Thank You everyone for your responses. For example, I am a 91X (maintenance supervisor) and in our AIT BN we had all different kinds of 91 series maintainers. I think it all depends on how short your MOS is on qualified AITPSG candidates.Response by CW2 Stephen Pate made Apr 10 at 2015 9:36 PM2015-04-10T21:36:47-04:002015-04-10T21:36:47-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member586744<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes, you will go back to where you were trained for your current MOS. You will fill in a spot that is available/needed within the BN/BDE. It may not be the actual MOS that you currently are, however, I am sure that they will try to put you with your peers. Even though it may not be your 100% MOS, it will be within your series. Have yet to see something like a Mechanic going to Field Artillery, or Field Artillery going to Signal. You will be within your Series.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 12 at 2015 6:35 AM2015-04-12T06:35:05-04:002015-04-12T06:35:05-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member588385<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>When I was an AIT PSG, I was stationed not in my initial AIT location, but another TRADOC post. Being an Aviation Mechanic on OH-58D (R) I attended AIT at Ft. Eustis, VA. As an AIT PSG, I was assigned to FT Rucker, AL the home of Army Aviation.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 13 at 2015 1:35 AM2015-04-13T01:35:03-04:002015-04-13T01:35:03-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member619662<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It's the location of your MOS specialty. The Army tries to align you with Soldiers that will be in your field. I was a little different since I worked as a 25B for 4 years prior. Even though I'm a 25U the CSM decided I would serve best there.<br /> The Soldiers could get additional tutoring and more insight on what they should be prepared for leaving AIT.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 25 at 2015 11:57 PM2015-04-25T23:57:21-04:002015-04-25T23:57:21-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member624567<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It is normally that you go to your branch location, but not always. At Ft. Sill, we have a 91B and a 15 (not sure) here; they say it's because of gender integration.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 28 at 2015 8:31 AM2015-04-28T08:31:11-04:002015-04-28T08:31:11-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member2517913<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I just finished my AIT Platoon Sergeant time and no you do not always go back where you went to AIT, however you may end up there depending on your MOS.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 24 at 2017 12:45 PM2017-04-24T12:45:19-04:002017-04-24T12:45:19-04:002015-04-09T13:30:12-04:00
