With all the violence in society, what extra precautions do you deploy during the holiday season, especially when shopping?

More people at the mall means a greater chance someone will do something evil. I think about my profiling skills a lot more this time of year.

Just have a better situational awareness. Wallett in an inside coat pocket not the pants pockets, make sure I have one hand free at all times, little known trick; if a group appears menacing, troublesome, look them in the eye and make them aware you see them. Most importantly, don't look vulnerable, walk with a purpose, head up.

Honestly, the same as I do everyday. Maintain awareness of my surroundings and a serviceable pistol with extra mags lawfully carried.

I carry a concealed weapon and try to maintain good situational awareness. I do that all year though. This time of year I make every effort to stay home. Not because I'm more concerned about violence, but because I'm not a fan of crowds. #online shopping

Nothing I don't do anyway. "Head on a swivel"; try to pay attention to what's going on and know my routes out if the need arises.

One should always practice situational awareness every day and have a plan in mind in the event of a problem. its just good practice. half the battle is knowing what to avoid and being mentally prepared for a armed confrontation .

Online shopping! If i am out and about, just maintain situational awareness. Keep an eye out for anything suspicious or out of the ordinary.
I deal with enough wack jobs, tweakers and junkies in my job as it is, so i try not to go out too much.

I always tend to glance behind me wherever I go to watch if anybody's following and when I'm a restaurant I try to get seated near the door in case of an active shooter. Always have an escape route.

Not a Fan of Crowds either. But sometimes you are dragged to go shopping with the wife. Situational Awareness comes to mind. But also some other hits are...Don't flash around wads of cash, displaying expensive gift items, for example; a Zales Jewerly bag or name brand items that you have purchased. Also don't just throw them in the back seat of your car without covering them, better off in the truck.
