With all the veteran/military Career Fairs in existence, which ones did you find the best, and why? MOJO, SACC, TAP/ACAP, HoH, RM, NCOA, CJ?

SACC and MOJO they both have good talent one alll officers and the other combination of enlisted and officers with degrees. But you can't forget the Jr enlisted

Farmers Insurance participates in the Military MOJO recruiting events. We find them to be excellent. One thing we really like about the candidates is that they all must have a bachelors degree or higher to attend. We are able to spend quality time with the candidates either in an interview room or set up meeting prior. We have found many quality candidates for our corporate positions as well as our agency owner positions.

I find the professional military recruiting companies to be an excellent route. They have served me quite well, and are far better than most of the typical transition courses that you receive while transitioning out.

The best job fair I have seen in Washington State is Hero 2 Hired. They usually have between 150 - 300 employers at all their events.

My response is dated as I got out some time ago. I think any of these services that have been around are worth your time as they will prepare you well for interviews and transition from the military. Validate their reputation and pick one or two at the most. Check your ego at the door because if they do their job, they will tell you very bluntly if your answers to interview questions are off the mark. For me, they taught me how to translate my military experience and success into terms corporate america would understand. Also drilled on common interview questions and how to answer them. Later, they specifically provided background info on all the companies (20) that I would interview the next day. The main point you need to understand is that these companies will get you job offers, BUT their mission is to get you hired so they get paid, NOT to find you YOUR ideal job. They will set you up with companies and jobs that THEY feel fit your experience best and not necessarily listen to what you want. Again, still worth going to because the lessons they taught me, continue to pay dividends long after my transition was over.

So here are some of the full names of the organizations mentioned above- I was limited in characters posing the question:
MOJO- MilitaryMOJO.org - For any and all transitioners and vets with at least a 4-year degree, or within 6-months of one. 4 events annually in DC, TX, Philly, West Coast
SACC- Service Academy Career Conference - Similar to MOJO, but you have to be an Academy grad officer
TAP/ACAP- the career fairs help by your base transition office
HoH- uschamberfoundation.org/hiring-our-heroes - On-base and off base events held year round, nation-wide
RM- Recruitmilitary.com - Job Board and Career Fairs held everywhere, but not usually on a base
NCOA- ncoacareerexpos.org - Held on-base or just off-base, career fairs are smaller
CJ- CivilianJobs.com - Job Board, Career Fairs, and subsidiary of Bradley-Morris, larger than NCOA but smaller than RM
