To be honest Sgt Tom Cunnally I hope that a Daniel Webster will be elected as the next Speaker of the House and we will see a change in alignment of the House leadership and that the House will display more backbone.

I personally hope a dark horse emerges.
Someone who will have energy and not beholden to the past five years of ineffectiveness in the House.

I know there has actually been a lot of support from within the new GOP for Trey Gowdy for Speaker. Both Mia Love and two others had petitions circling to support him getting the position. Haven't followed it much since I saw that, because they will choose who they want, not who we want. I'm pretty pessimistic at the chances that Boehner's leaving will change anything without McConnell joining him and a takeover by the new GOP.
