Will we have another “January 6” in August?

Dozens of court cases have ruled against Trump’s claim that he won re-election. Not only does he continue with what is now called “the big lie,” but a “segment of the MAGA faithful … [and] 30% of Republicans” * believe he will return to the White House in August. Anyone with a passing understanding of the Constitution will realize this is impossible; however, no one foresaw the events of January 6. What will happen if his most ardent supporters resort to violence again?

"he says he will return to the White House in August" SFC Kathy Pepper can you link us to even a single voice or video clip of President Trump making this claim? Or a Peer-reviewed no bias source of a specific cite from the Former president having said this statement?

I don't think he's ever said it. QAnon has said it and there were posts of him liking those suggestions, or some such thing. But I don't think he's ever explicitly said it

Plus, Jan 6 had a forcing function. Congress was meeting to certify the election. The election is done now, there's nothing more to it. There is nothing special happening in August that would draw people together with a desperation

Good question, Kathy, as usual . . .

Though the potential remains for another insurrection attempt, I believe that potential is greatly reduced for a number of reasons: 1) We've taken away the Inciter-in-Chief's megaphone that called the mob to the Capitol . . . Though his minions still have backdoor ways of organizing (Telegram, etc.), the prospect of getting something together on the same scale as the 6th has been greatly diminished . . . 2) His minions have seen that the Inciter-in-Chief's claims that "I'll cover your legal expenses" was just another Trump farce, like Trump University and his charity, all of which have been shut down by the courts for fraud . . . They've seen over 500 of their COMRADES (and I use that word VERY intentionally) arrested, tried, and found guilty, with no Trump coming to their rescue . . . 3) The law enforcement agencies were caught with their proverbial pants down on the 6th . . . I doubt they'll be that naive again . . . Not to mention that Trump had installed several of his sick-ophants in the upper echelons of the Pentagon prior to the 6th . . . I (and other reputable observers) believe this may have had something to do with the 6-hour-delayed response by National Guard forces to back up overwhelmed Capitol police . . . In fact, even though they initially lied and said he wasn't, the brother of (now disgraced) Mike Flynn was in the room where repeated calls for reinforcements were ignored for those crucial 6 hours . . . This, in case U weren't paying attention, is the same Mike Flynn who advised that Trump should declare martial law, launch a coup, and take over the election . . . Might his brother have had similar sympathies and intentionally delayed the response? We may never know . . . But my point is that now, hopefully, all those Trump boot-lickers have been given Da Boot, and replaced with true Patriots who love America more than our former Fraudster-in-Chief . . .

For all those reasons, I'm not so much as worried about whatever sick-ophants and boot-lickers who may have so far escaped Justice and might be planning another round of violence . . . I'm worried about his sick-ophants and boot-lickers in Congress, the Senate, and state capitols across our Country who are working feverishly to turn back voting rights to the Jim Crow era . . . They're the minions that keep me up at night . . .
