The Maximum total payment will likely be $64,000.00 for a single veteran. Some say $75,000.00 but they don't take into consideration that the amount would have to be approved by the house also. And the likely outcome is that the quality of life payment will be caped between $700-1,600 a month. But unless the Senate writes it as proportional they will have no room to negotiate with the house. What about tri-care? The fix to the tri-care system is apart of the defense reauthorization Act. What about the retired veterans receiving disability without the veterans Administration adjustment? It's still being worked on in the house I'll post the bill name and number once it makes it to the floor of the house. It's not likely to be passed before the election. So what are we asking the Senate to do in the Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2016 (S.3032) and what is the best way to contact your Senators? 1. Give service connected disabled veterans a 25% pay increase. 2. Make Quality Of Life payments to veterans who are 60% or more disabled making payment proportional to the veteran's disability rating and allowing for back pay three years for 100% disability or less and five years for permanent and total disability. Award the maximum VA pension to veterans who have a service connected disability rating of 100% or permanent and total if they are not receiving military retirement.
