She committed a capital offense. The penalty handed down is death. The pope has no say in this. He can speak all he wants but Georgia is following the law.

Sgt Kelli Mays She did a terrible thing, she planned the murder of her children's father, while she didn't take part in the actual murder she did "view his body", help set his car on fire, she made a false report, she used the media outlets to ask for his return, she robbed him of his life. Her entire adult life was less than exemplary. I have great empathy for her children and the pain they will feel for the loss of their mother. The following is a link of her media coverage in which she asked for her husband's return when she knew he was dead.

Sgt Kelli Mays I believe the death penalty is there for a reason. Her death needs to be a reminder that what she did will not be tolerated.

Heard about it 2 days ago that she was granted a Stay of Execution for a Week. Sounds like there are still some unresolved legal questions and matters with her execution. I'm glad we have a system that does have lots of checks and balances. We should never be in a Hurry to Kill another Human Being. Although I suspect she is Guilty, how many Innocents have been killed by our legal system?

The crime she committed was terrible and premeditated. I doubt that they will stop it. The Pope will have very little influence on Southern Justice. Jesus forgives all sins, but we also are instructed to obey the laws of the land. She was found guilty and sentenced to death. May God have mercy on her soul for I am sure that the State of Georgia will not have mercy on her mortal life.
