Uhlig1097111<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The problem is deeper than this one individual....but it was his inaction that lead to the demand for him to leave.....the fact that he did not address the current struggles facing the school says a lot about his lack of personal courage and if one of my children were going to that school I'd be glad he was gone....going to be tough for whomever is the next person to try to lead the school through these challenging times.Response by CSM Michael J. Uhlig made Nov 9 at 2015 11:47 AM2015-11-09T11:47:25-05:002015-11-09T11:47:25-05:00SSG Warren Swan1097112<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No. I get the "why's" behind it, but are we going to fire everyone that doesn't jump when we mention we don't like something? I do not believe for one second that anyone regardless of skin color should be subjected to racism or any hatred while attending school. On the flip side of this, if the word "Nigger" is offensive to you, why is it said within the black community? Why is it seemed as "ok" to do, but the minute someone else of another skin color uses it, all hell breaks loose. Using "Nigger" with the "er" on the end vs. "Nigga" with the "a" at the end are the SAME thing, and don't try to tell me there is a difference. Nothing good comes out of using it no matter the skin tone. I have to give the Army credit, I used to use Nigga all the time in casual conversation. My EO class at McClellan broke me out of that in NO TIME flat. I've never seen an instructor break an entire class down to the point of fighting like it was done, yet firmly explaining why it's so ignorant to use any racial slurs, and how as MP's we'd be hearing a LOT of it. If the black community wants to have others stop using the word, then we need to stop using it ourselves. But there are potatoes and window lickers in every skin tone, and will do whatever they can to mess it up for everyone else.Response by SSG Warren Swan made Nov 9 at 2015 11:48 AM2015-11-09T11:48:37-05:002015-11-09T11:48:37-05:00SFC Stephen King1097154<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Easing of tensions based on a single act. It will take time and it is going to require more than the President stepping down. This uproar is more than the former president's fault. That being said a change in leadership will help but not end the problem.Response by SFC Stephen King made Nov 9 at 2015 12:05 PM2015-11-09T12:05:49-05:002015-11-09T12:05:49-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1097232<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>no we still will have issues, im surprised that even now in 2015 we still have those issues bother us , why in the world cant we just be all equal human beings !!!!Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 9 at 2015 12:44 PM2015-11-09T12:44:51-05:002015-11-09T12:44:51-05:00Capt Seid Waddell1097315<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No, this problem is not the result of any one man's action/inaction and will not be solved by any one man's resignation. <br /><br />People looking for something to be offended about as an excuse to have a temper tantrum will always find some excuse to protest and threaten society if their demands are not met.<br /><br />There are more constructive ways to solve problems than using extortion - which will only stir up resentments and exacerbate the problems.Response by Capt Seid Waddell made Nov 9 at 2015 1:16 PM2015-11-09T13:16:12-05:002015-11-09T13:16:12-05:002015-11-09T11:37:30-05:00
