You can get off work and just go, go to the barracks or home and change. If you went to work in Charlies every day would you want to get off work and just go into town in them, my guess is no.

Also, if you are out in town in uniform you now subject yourself to uniform violations while out to dinner, having a drink, at the Laundromat etc. Response by Cpl Jeff N. made Aug 3 at 2018 6:41 AM 2018-08-03T06:41:04-04:00 2018-08-03T06:41:04-04:00 MAJ Private RallyPoint Member 3849534

Probably not. In a military town, no one out there (except perhaps baby-mamas looking for your BAH) cares that you're military, nor thinks your camo uniform is "cool."

After you are forced to wear your camo/field uniform day in and day out 24x7, wearing them any more than you are required to loses its appeal. Most people I know/knew strip off their uniforms as soon as possible and wear civilian clothes.

Oh, and don't wear your ID Tags outside your shirt either. That's a neon sign saying "I'm a N00b." Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 3 at 2018 11:12 AM 2018-08-03T11:12:40-04:00 2018-08-03T11:12:40-04:00 2018-08-02T18:51:23-04:00
