Can I take leave to go back home (NC), and then leave from there to head to my duty station (NY), rather than having to come all the way back to my current duty station (Hawaii)? Will the Army only pay for travel from duty station to duty station, or can I go home and have the Army pay from there to my next station?2020-01-03T14:36:31-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member5409173<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm PCSing from Hawaii to Fort Drum. Are you currently Stationed in Hawaii? Going to Ft Drum? Vice Versa? What are you trying to do? School in route? Of course the Army will only pay for you to go from one duty station to another. You dont get any free vacations in between courtesy of the Army. But i think you need to be more specific with your question and give a little more background than what you have provided in order for anyone to even begin to give you advice on your situation.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 3 at 2020 2:48 PM2020-01-03T14:48:10-05:002020-01-03T14:48:10-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member5409239<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You can actually arrange this by going to the travel office. You will be responsible for the price of the ticket changer service fee, plus any increase in the price of the total ticket. Also, if you fail to catch your flight from your leave location you will be responsible for the price of your own flight to your duty station.<br />I did the same thing flying from Bragg to Okinawa, it cost me an extra $30Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 3 at 2020 2:54 PM2020-01-03T14:54:46-05:002020-01-03T14:54:46-05:00CW2 Private RallyPoint Member5409422<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>When you say pay for what are you referring to?Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 3 at 2020 3:47 PM2020-01-03T15:47:03-05:002020-01-03T15:47:03-05:00CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana5411133<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would discuss this with your Assignment Manager and Gaining Unit in Drum. However, your trip from Honolulu to Drum will be paid by DFAS and all deviations from that, whether approved or not, is out-of-pocket, unless rules have changed. <br /><br />I PCS'd from Schofield to Minneapolis and DFAS paid for airfare only and the rest was out-of-pocket, as I recall.Response by CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana made Jan 4 at 2020 7:11 AM2020-01-04T07:11:35-05:002020-01-04T07:11:35-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member5411598<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>SmhResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 4 at 2020 10:15 AM2020-01-04T10:15:58-05:002020-01-04T10:15:58-05:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member5417164<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes.
