If you wanted to move further away you would have to pay the difference. For example: if your final duty station was in San Diego, CA and your home of record was Denver the military would pay to get your stuff to there. If you wanted to move to Oregon your move would be free. If you wanted to move to Miami, the military would pay to Denver but you would have to pay the difference from Denver to Miami.
