It's a big difference, a civilian resume is often one page, two max, while a federal resume has no page limit and often benefits from being much longer.Response by SPC Paul Jennings, J.D. made Dec 4 at 2015 7:58 AM2015-12-04T07:58:59-05:002015-12-04T07:58:59-05:00MSgt Stephen Council1150145

I will be happy to review it. I go through resumes quite a bit, and rather rapidly. Here are a couple pointers. 1) Put a list of all your skills (alphabetically) near the top on the first page of your resume. When scanning through hundreds of resumes, I don't have time to read them all. I skim rapidly for keywords. 2) Use an easy to read font. I use Garamond, but Ariel and Calabri work well. 3) Write your resume with the understanding that it will be in a pile of hundreds of other resumes. Your resume has to stand out in some fashion.

Here is how i have the first page of my resume setup (@9 font):
Header with all contact information and link to my Linkedin profile
Objective
Technical Skills
Managerial Skills
Summary of Qualifications
Education

I can take a look at your resume if you would like. Just ping me.Response by SPC Joseph Plunkett made Dec 4 at 2015 3:17 PM2015-12-04T15:17:26-05:002015-12-04T15:17:26-05:00SSG Keven Lahde1151641

SSgt Private RallyPoint Member SSgt good post!!
