Will Post Updates on the Home page ever be treated like the other questions on RallyPoint?

Will the Post Update section of the home page function similar to the other discussion/questions?
I have noticed that at least two of the updates I have posted to Post Updates have reached 10 or more upvotes. I have never seen any points added for that. Is this an anomaly?

When I have gotten 10 upvotes to responses on Post Updates that earns the same bonus as 10 other upvotes anywhere. However when I receive 10 upvotes to the update posted at Post Updates nothing happens. I expect this has happened to other members as well.

I think that the Post Updates feature is the one place on RallyPoint where we can demonstrate what we are going through. There we don't post hyperlinks or discuss current events, etc. We are generally limited to our ability to write as we express our thoughts. We are required to be focused which helps us become better writers.

LTC Stephen F. Colonel, I like the potential it has. It needs to be (and will be eventually, I think) more robust. It needs to have basic editing and sorting functions, like the other areas do -- this is important to me because I'm someone that will review my posts several times, looking for typos or bad grammar to correct. What I write here on RP is the face of who I am to my readers, and it's important to me to get it right. Most of us will never meet in person, so I am judged by what I put out there, so I want it to be right, well-written. Unfortunately, this sometimes takes several tries. As of yet, this is the biggest problem for updates, for me. Other than that, I like the updates -- they give a more personal touch than the more serious military stuff allows. For example, your updates of Snowmageddon were interesting and informative, and gave me a glimpse into your life -- something I wouldn't get from the more formal questions.

Keep in mind LTC Stephen F., the Share an Update and Share a Link function are the newest functions to roll out on this platform. LTC Yinon Weiss and his team are busy ironing out everything so that it works perfectly but of course as you understand, things like that do not happen overnight. I am sure that one one point, things like the bonus points for 10+ Up Votes and things like that will be there.
