Will my packet for 17C be affected by me recently gaining my promotable status?

I am currently putting a packet together for 17C, the largest concern I have is whether or not attaining promotable status as a SPC will affect my packet/chances of getting approved by the cyber school.

Additionally, is it still true that 17C will accept applications from under strength MOSes? The latest milpers didn’t say anything different but it’s from a while ago and didn’t know if there was anything anyone in the community has heard about it (currently a 25Q).

I would reach out to the 17C career counselor once your packet is submitted and ask him/her that question. Last I looked, this was 6 months ago, they were accepting PV1 to SGT non-promotable.

The information stating its open to any strength of MOS is listed on the in/out calls. It's one of the MOS's listed that any MOS can request Reclass into. It also says it on the MILPER 17-058
Additionally, it says on the MILPER that it's open to Sergeant and below.

Why all these questions about reclassify? It will effect you later in your career. I was logistics for 44 years. I am 70 and keep being asked to back to work. Cw4 GS 12. Step 10
I turned 13 down. They wanted me in Rock Island.
