Some people I&#39;ve talked to have told me that I will lose my MOS when my unit releases me from AD and it&#39;s unlikely I will get to keep it. Is this true? Will I lose my MOS if I go from NG to AD? 2016-10-01T21:47:12-04:00 PFC Private RallyPoint Member 1939811 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I&#39;m currently a NG 35F and am interested in going AD. Maybe get a couple of choices for assignments. If there are no slots, then you will not be able to keep it. Simple as that. When conversing with your Recruiter, stress this if that is what you want to keep doing. But be prepared to be flexible. There is a high chance you will keep your MOS but if there are no available slots you will have to reclass. You will still keep your 35F10 but you will be a MOS T in another AIT. And being a 35F asked some people I know where slots are and your main options right now are Fort Knox, Fort Riley who are deploying to Iraq. My route though is not to stay a 35F. Not interested. 35F currently in AD froze all promotions for a small period. The field got flooded. So, WO is always a way to go if you want active duty.
